Code of Conduct

This page outlines the rules and regulations held in all physical and virtual events of Claxon Tournaments Pte. Ltd. Throughout this page, Participants, Spectators, Staff, and Guests will be collectively referred to as “Members".

All Members of Claxon Tournaments are expected to abide by our Code of Conduct in all events hosted and/or associated with Claxon Tournaments. Members are also expected to abide by the respective rulesets for each event, where applicable, as well as any Terms of Service or End-User License Agreement (EULA) provided by any relevant third party.

Our Pledge

  • To create a safe and friendly environment for all Members, we pledge our best efforts to provide a harassment-free experience for all, regardless of their profile, background, or status.
  • To create a fair and balanced competition for all Members, we pledge to remain impartial when enforcing the rules as written out in this Code of Conduct and the respective rulesets for our events (where applicable).

Behavioural Expectations

Members are expected to contribute towards creating a safe and friendly environment in their interactions with others by practicing respectable behaviour such as:

  • Use of polite diction
  • Use of a calm & friendly tone
  • Use of inclusive language
  • Use of preferred pronouns & nicknames
  • Respecting differing viewpoints
  • Accepting constructive criticism
  • Offering assistance (where able)

Unacceptable Behaviour

Members may be punished for unacceptable behaviour, which may include:

  • Excessive trolling
  • Use of derogatory language
  • Public or private harassment
  • Publishing the personal data of others without consent
  • Ignoring communication boundaries
  • Use of sexual language, imagery, or content
  • Unwelcome sexual advances
  • Use of disturbing language, imagery, or content
  • Starting and/or participation in arguments
    • (Not to be confused with respectful debates)
  • Unwelcome accusations and/or assumptions
  • Drug use and/or promotion of such
  • Provoking others
  • Any other conduct which could reasonably be considered inappropriate in the given context

Note: Members are encouraged to report all instances of unacceptable behaviour towards themselves or others by reaching out to our team via any of our Social Media Platforms, or by emailing us at contact@claxontournaments.net.

Competitive Expectations

Members are expected to follow the rules stated in the rulesets of each event, which also include:

  • Upholding sportsmanship throughout the event
  • Treating opponents with respect (even outside the competition)
  • Use of encouraging language
  • Reporting rulebreakers

Competitive Violations

Members may be punished for unacceptable competitive behaviour, which may include:

  • Use of hacks (includes hacked clients and/or jailbroken devices)
  • Use of glitches, bugs, and/or exploits
  • Use of third-party software that affects gameplay
  • Use of third-party attachments which affect the device
  • Use of performance-enhancing drugs and/or promotion of such
  • Demotivating other competitors
  • Gambling (includes placing bets on teams)
  • Malicious actions against other competitors

Enforcement

All Members of Claxon Tournaments have a moral duty to report violations of:

  • This Code of Conduct
  • Privacy Policy
  • The respective competition ruleset (if applicable)

Reports can be submitted by contacting the relevant staff through our supported platforms. All reports will be reviewed and investigated, resulting in a response deemed fair and appropriate given the circumstances.

To protect whistleblowers, victims, and rulebreakers, all report details will be kept strictly confidential under our Privacy Policy as Personal Data.

Staff Responsibilities

  • Staff Members have the right and responsibility to impartially enforce rules according to Claxon Tournaments’ internal guidelines.
  • Staff may remove any violating content and subsequently:
    • Mute
    • Kick
    • Temporarily ban
    • Permanently ban

Any member who violates this Code of Conduct, Privacy Policy, or Rulesets is subject to these actions.

Note: Initial enforcement imposed by Staff Members may be overruled by a preceding authority.

Amendments

Claxon Tournaments will amend this Code of Conduct as needed to:

  • Stay up to date with present-day societal standards
  • Maintain our expectations

Major amendments will be announced through our supported Social Media Platforms.

All Members are advised to review this Code of Conduct periodically for any changes. Changes are effective as soon as they are reflected on this page.
